Mob intelligence
Traditionally it’s been thought that mob intelligence is inversely proportional to the size of the mob and there is plenty of historical evidence to back this up.
More recently the intelligence of mobs is being used to predict future events using stock market like set ups.
Poindexter at DARPA in his wisdom after the 9-11 attacks tried to use a similar idea to predict future terrorist acts but the public out cry put a stop to that. While an excellent idea in theory the public was none to keen to feed ideas to the terrorists or to predict their demise.

My Cyber Twin
An Australian company has created a way for you to have an online double. This bot will chat with your buddies on MySpace, Blogs, IM &c. It is expected they will also find uses as company sales associates and support online.
There is a tool that asks you about 100 questions and spends some time training to be you. The more time you spend training your bot, the more like you your bot will become.
The project is now in Alpha testing. And there are some examples on the site you can chat with and check out.
